Justinmind currently has two available products. Justinmind Prototyper (JP) is a desktop-based prototyping tool that helps you to design advanced wireframes for web, mobile and desktop applications. Simulations of the finished application can then be run and JP functions on both Windows and Mac OS. Justinmind Server (JS) allows you to create web wireframes in your browser that are fully functional. Clients can test and annotate these wireframes over the internet. JS functions on Windows, Red Hat, Suse and Ubuntu.
Justinmind Prototyper Features:
- Advanced prototyping – The prototype can be designed to include features such as conditional navigation, business logic rules and validation.
- Custom widgets and templates – UI elements can be customised and the global style of each wireframe can be altered. Advanced widgets such as Flash, PDF and HTML can also be included.
Justinmind Server Features:
- Convert simulation to prototype – Justinmind Server creates fully functional web wireframes, which can be run in an internet browser. In particular, Justinmind Prototype simulations can be converted into web prototypes.
- Annotations – Clients can view and test the prototype and then annotate the various elements.
Per-seat licences (i.e. licences that permit a single PC installation) are available for $495, and can be purchased at http://www.justinmind.com/.
Justinmind Prototyper is a highly detailed tool that allows you to design a wide variety of applications. The range of elements available is impressive, particularly the advanced widgets such as Flash etc. Justinmind Server is basically an add-on that allows you to develop fully functional and clickable wireframes that can be tested and shared. This side of the product could be further developed however, as the online collaboration capabilities appear to be limited.
